But one day Kyle jumps into the mind of something that looks like a woman but is not quite human. A dark mind, festering with thoughts of horrific, unspeakable things. The female fiend then follows Kyle to the tenement residence he calls home - the Twist Steel apartments - where Heather, one of his previous victims, has broken in and waits in the dark with revenge on her mind. But with the "subhuman" woman now laying siege to the apartment, Heather and Kyle must team up - along with the other unfortunate residents of the building - and their survival hinges on a reality-blending game of cat-and-mouse with the ageless, evil woman-thing...the SUBHUMAN!
